Description

The medi Assure Butler allows stockings to be easily donned from a sitting position and enable the wearer to pull the stocking on without having to reach their feet or ankles. 

Just stretch the stocking over the central metal frame almost to the heel. Make sure the heel of the stocking is toward the back of the butler pointing towards you. From a secure sitting position step into the stocking until your foot is on the floor then gently pull the butler up by the handles. Don't over stretch the stocking. Remove the butler and pull the stocking up your leg with your hands and into position.


The medi butler has a 4 inch opening and is designed to accommodate average size legs.  If you wear wide calf stockings, consider the medi Big Butler

Measuring tips:

  • > The best time of day to measure is in the morning.
  • > If possible, patient should stand while measurements are taken.
  • > Measurements should be take against the skin not too tight or loose.


Where to measure:

For knee-high stockings:

  1. 1. Narrowest part of ankle above the ankle bone (B)
  2. 2. Widest part of calf (C)
  3. 3. Length from floor to slightly below knee in a straight line.


For thigh & waist-high stockings:

  1. 1. Narrowest part of ankle above the ankle bone (B)
  2. 2. Widest part of calf (C)
  3. 3. Widest part of upper thigh/groin (G)
  4. 4. Length from floor to G in a straight line.
